FAT is a half-hour comedy-drama with six episodes per season.
Logline:
When a young, fat, Mancunian actress, Belle, moves to London to follow her dreams of entering an industry governed by tiny waists and humongous thigh gaps, she is confronted by her eating disorders as she struggles to navigate herself in a world dominated by social media and online dating.
Tone:
Tonally we are in the area of FLEABAG meets FEEL GOOD meets THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT.

Representation:
Representation of fat women in film, TV and theatre more often than not reinforces the trope that fat women have low self-esteem, can't get laid or will settle for someone who treats them badly.
We're either the fat best-friend, there for comic relief or most likely the butt of the joke. The words fat and proud are rarely seen together.
FAT aims to give a voice to fat women who have eating disorders. The show also explores the world of online dating as a fat woman, hoping to dispel the myth that fat women can't find love.
